  Rules    
   

I.  RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. Students must be regular and punctual at lectures, demonstrations, seminars, practicals, field work and other academic exercises. They are required to attend all allotted working periods in each of the prescribed subjects.

  2. The students should present themselves in their respective classrooms/ laboratories 5 minutes before the commencement of the lecture/ demonstration. Every student will have attend all theory and practical classes. They are not supposed to leave the college premises without permission of the Principal. In case of illness, permission will have to be obtained from the Principal for obtaining leave.

  3. In case of non-attendance of classes, an application must be presented to the Principal for leave of absence giving the reasons.

  4. Membership in the recognized Student Nurses' Association is compulsory.

  5. Students must be neat and tidy in their dress, avoiding expensive clothes and exaggerated fashions.

  6. Students must wear the prescribed uniform for duty and class hours.

  7. Students must maintain a sense of decorum and discipline inside the College and in its associated institutions, and in public places. Students should refrain from disfiguring walls and furniture, and from other objectionable practices.

  8. Ragging is strictly prohibited. In connection with this, the Anti Ragging Committee is functioning effectively in College campus.

  9. The Catholic students have to attend Christian Doctrine classes and the retreats organized annually. They are urged and encouraged to attend the Eucharistic Celebration as often as possible and to make use of facilities made available to help in their all-round formation as committed Christian nurses.

  10. Students must respect and be obedient to all members of the staff as well as managing authorities of the college. The Management has every right to ask the students to discontinue the course on the basis of absenteeism and indiscipline behavior.

  11. Students should carry their identity cards at all times and produce the same when required.

  12. Each student is responsible for the proper handling and safe custody of any apparatus or equipments that she may be using. In case of any damage of loss to the college property through misuse of negligence, the students shall have to pay the cost of repair or replacement.

  13. Students are advised not to proceed on leave without permission from the Principal, otherwise they will have to pay Rs. 100/- per day during the period of their unauthorized leave. They will have to report daily at college roll call.

  14. All dues should be cleared before the examination.

  15. Use of Cell phones, Ipods etc is not allowed inside the College Campus.

  16. Rule of Language – English is strictly adhered in the College Campus.

  17. All students admitted in the college must observe the rules and regulations that may be framed from time to time by college authorities.


II.  FOR HOSTEL

  1. Students are instructed to keep their rooms clean and tidy. Warden of the hostel may check the rooms at any time.

  2. Students should not keep any medicines in their rooms, except during illness.

  3. No visitors should be entertained by the students during college hours, only with the permission of concerned authority they are permitted to see the visitors.

  4. Parents/ Guardians of the students are permitted to meet the students only during the prescribed visiting hours.

  5. In case of appointment of local guardians, their entire personal data along with the photograph will have to be submitted during the time of admission.

  6. Students are permitted to go only during 2nd Saturday every month apart from Scheduled holidays.

  7. Students should utilize at least I hour library daily after class hours and on Sundays.

  8. Students need to go out from College Campus only with prior permission from Principal and Hostel Warden.


II.  SICKNESS OF STUDENTS

Initial health services are available to all students. Report the first sign of any ill health. If becomes ill in the hostel, report to Warden, in the class room report to class co-coordinator, in clinic report to the instructor.



III. STUDENT COUNSELING

Student should feel free to contact the class teacher who is also the class advisor/counselor for any problem. The interview and discussion will be strictly confidential. Any problem of concern, personal, family or social may be shared. Counseling Teachers and students ratio of 1:10 is maintained throughout all 4 years.
